Hi Everybody,
Since these topics have been on the W3C radar for quite some time [1,2], but
not really
progressed, I take the liberty suggesting a few additions for possible
re-chartering proposals
in order to make the process a bit smoother than in the past:

- List of anticipated use-cases including required support software and/or
standards
- Security and privacy considerations
- Expected user interactions and requirements
- Last but not least: Extensive peer reviews before submission

For hardware tokens support it would be useful knowing how the proposal relates
to the
fairly wide range of mutually incompatible hardware security solutions out
there, and
if it includes support for secure messaging (aka end-to-end security).

Cheers
Anders Rundgren
