When invoked, this method MUST cancel any network activity for which the object is responsible and reset the object.That's fine.
And more than enough.
It's important to specify this because it can end up being something the author relies on
I can't see this at all, could provide a scenario where an author would be relying on exactly how a .abort aborted the connection?
