Hi All,

During WebApps' November 1 joint meeting with the Protocols and Formats WG, I recorded the action below to make sure the Widget Packaging and Configuration spec [P&C] was updated to clearly state a "widget", in the context of [P&C], is a client-side packaged application and *not* a UI control.

To address this issue, Marcos updated the Abstract of the latest Editor's Draft and the relevant text now reads:

[[
This specification standardizes a packaging format and metadata for a class of software known as widgets. Unlike traditional user interface widgets (e.g., buttons, input boxes, toolbars, etc.), widgets as specified in this document are full-fledged client-side applications that are authored using Web standards such as HTML5 and then packaged for distributions.
]]

Thanks for raising this issue and the useful meeting in Lyon!

-Regards, Art Barstow
