I think I still have outstanding comments on this specification, but I'll raise this one again. It's not at all clear how this specification interacts with the event loop. E.g. pasting is clearly an operation that queues a task to dispatch the event, but does inserting the data happen in the same task, what about the events this causes to be dispatched?
