I had an idea a few months ago which I just remembered again. Basically it is possible to automate OV using D&B APIs (because most CAs use that for validation). I've also not found any guideline requiring OV to be manual or require human interaction (though I could be wrong of course). Is that intentional and indeed the fact? I think it should be discussed if that is secure enough for hopefully obvious reasons.
