All,
Why do we have these useless discussions? First of all, when Bradley wants to announce something, we invariably get an announcement from Bradley, a most competent communicator of ideas. Second; yes, of course we already have a Paypal account and there is no mention anywhere if any intent or interest to open another. This all came from rumor or conjecture, not from fact. Be careful where you get your information with regard to TLDA things as the other efforts to portray themselves as TLDA members groups are not representative of the real organization and are not officially recognized as having any part or place with the TLDA, Inc.
For the record, yes David Scott has a Corporate Resolution, a check from Bradley Thornton and supporting information on the way to him to open a "brick and mortar" bank account to tie into the existing Paypal account so it will be unfrozen and become an asset instead of a liability.
Further for the record, there is an initiative in the Ways and Means Committee being fine-tuned for presentation to the Board regarding membership dues to fund the small but very important requirements of keeping the TLDA alive on the web and lists as well as corporately. The Board will likely have a proposal this week to consider. It will include a general star for a budget so all our needs will be met from even limited resources.
There are a lot of other efforts underway, as well that will become evident in their appropriate time and be of great benefit toward the goals of the TLDA, Inc. When time to be announced, look for the announcement on the members' list first. as we are a membership organization. Anything pertaining to the Public will also be announced here, along with the other discussions this list is intended to carry.
