Hi Misty -- Could you please clarify this a little? It's the only point that I don't quite understand.
Do you just mean having white text on a black background? The strange formatting in your screenshot is probably a faithful representation of the underlying XML. To reproduce something like it, I need to introduce extraneous whitespace and linebreaks into the <programlisting>.
