Hi Jeff,

Failed to load brand overrides.cfg file at /usr/local/bin/publican line 797.
This is a known issue: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1037037

Workaround is to delete the empty conf file.
Ok, thanks. I didn't find the bug you mentioned when I first looked, hence my query.

The other workaround, as supplied by Rudi, is just to have something "harmless" in the config file.

...

$ publican build --langs=en-US --formats=html-desktop
Setting up en-US
...
Beginning work on en-US
DTD Validation OK
         Starting html-desktop
         Using XML::LibXSLT on /usr/share/publican/xsl/html-single.xsl
         Finished html-desktop

This is correct, that XSL file takes a parameter to switch behaviour. Is the
output broken?

It was indeed broken, regardless of what I used as the format - html-single or html-desktop, I always ended up with html-single. I even reverted back to publican 3.x (probably 3.2.1) and that showed the same problem.

However, after a re-upgrade to Publican 4, it's running fine now.

Cheers,
Norm.
