Hi all, It might interest some on this mailing list: Wikimedia Sverige and the Swedish Library Association just published a co-written report on open access to science and copyright. The purpose of the report is to propose a way forward for reaching the aim of 100% open access to publicly funded research. The report is still in Swedish, but we are working on a potential English translation (and I suppose machine translation can do a job too): https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:%C3%96ppen_vetenskap_och_upphovsr%C3%A4tt.pdf
The report will be used to get MPs to draft motions for legislative change, but was also used as the foundation for our input to the EU Commission on a proposed European Research Area Act. There is an open call for evidence open that closes by the end of this day, if any other European affiliates interested in open access questions want to have a say. Here's our input: https://ec.europa.eu/info/law/better-regulation/have-your-say/initiatives/14608-European-Research-Area-Act/F3713161_en <https://ec.europa.eu/info/law/better-regulation/have-your-say/initiatives/14608-European-Research-Area-Act/F3713161_en> Best *Eric Luth* Projektledare engagemang och påverkan | Project Manager, Involvement and Advocacy Wikimedia Sverige [email protected] +46 (0) 765 55 50 95 Stöd fri kunskap, bli medlem i Wikimedia Sverige.
