Perhaps that this XEP could be resurrected and based on a PEP-like system to take advantage of nodes auto-discovery.

I'm a little wary of the duplication of information there, and the reliance on clients "doing it right".

Maybe the better answer is to have a way of storing which domains you have subscriptions at, which at least minimizes the duplication.

I dislike the idea of servers intercepting traffic, but it might be sensible in this case to detect outward pubsub requests in order to automatically add to the list.

Alternately, I wonder if we should propose a convention that the pubsub servic is always added to the roster?
