On a serious note, I made the change to remove the usage Matt mentions. No 
point in allowing even a chance that it would be misinterpreted.

I think I understand Matt's concern. What is bad in polling is the 
"multiplicity". Polling once is not bad... polling several times _is_ evil.

Let's not play on the words. Comparing spec is endless. Let's trust the market 
to make the decision for what should be the standard.
