I am the developer of Reader2Twitter and thanks for PUSH protocol I can build this app :) I know from this group that Amazon just released Amazon SNS days before. The service is cool and I'd like to test it in some days. But before its release, I had an idea about APIPubSub. Here is what it is:
Some service like twitter or ebay support API. And their api has atom format. For example, we can get twitter user timeline using twitter api: http://api.twitter.com/1/statuses/user_timeline/lookon.atom. If it support pubsubhubbub, then we can easily get notified. For authenticated api, the hub can direct the oauth access key and client key to twitter(service) and get from Twitter whether the subscriber has the authority to subscribe the topic. To me, Amazon SNS is more like a special hub. And I want to a more open way like PUSH protocol to make what Amazon SNS do :) -- Stay hungry,Stay foolish. -- Subscription settings: http://groups.google.com/group/pubsubhubbub/subscribe?hl=en
