Hi Paul, Thanks for the note. I see this all the time in my Pulp logs in 2.4+ also. I believe a .treeinfo file is used for bootable installation trees. They define the location of the kernel and the ramdisks to start the installer from. Not all repositories have these files, but for correctness Pulp tries to fetch it everytime in case it is not there.
Given that information, can you think a way for us to improve this either through documentation or logging behavior changes? -Brian ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Paul Gonin" <[email protected]> > To: [email protected] > Sent: Thursday, November 20, 2014 5:32:13 AM > Subject: [Pulp-list] 404 errors in /var/log/pulp/pulp.log for .treeinfo > > Hi, > > With Pulp 2.3 pulp.log is filling up with 404 errors, trying to > download .treeinfo file which is not available on target repos. > > 2014-11-20 11:20:24,242 nectar.downloaders.threaded:ERROR: Download of > https://repos.fedorapeople.org/repos/openstack/openstack-icehouse/ > epel-6/.treeinfo failed with code 404: Not Found > > It does not prevent Pulp from working and repo to be synchronized but > I am wondering it could be an issue. > > Regards > Paul Gonin > > _______________________________________________ > Pulp-list mailing list > [email protected] > https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/pulp-list > _______________________________________________ Pulp-list mailing list [email protected] https://www.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/pulp-list
