--- Comment #2 from Tanu Kaskinen <[email protected]> --- pulseaudio.desktop runs start-pulseaudio-x11 and pulseaudio-kde.desktop runs start-pulseaudio-kde. start-pulseaudio-x11 starts pulseaudio if it's not already running and loads module-x11-publish, module-x11-cork-request and module-x11-xsmp. start-pulseaudio-kde starts pulseaudio if it's not already running and loads module-device-manager. start-pulseaudio-x11 shouldn't be omitted on KDE as requested on this bug, because then module-x11-publish, module-x11-cork-request and module-x11-xsmp wouldn't get loaded, even though they are as relevant on KDE as on any other desktop environment. The real bug is the delay that start-pulseaudio-x11 apparently causes on some systems. I don't see any reason why that should happen, so I hope someone will investigate this (I'm not volunteering). -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the QA Contact for the bug.
