Bug ID: 89213
Summary: configure --enable-udev --disable-oss-output
--disable-alsa outputs bogus '*** UDEV support not
found'
Product: PulseAudio
Version: unspecified
Hardware: Other
OS: All
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: build-system
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
QA Contact: [email protected]
CC: [email protected]
AS_IF([test "x$enable_udev" != "xno" -a \( "x$HAVE_OSS" = "x1" -o "x$HAVE_ALSA"
= "x1" \)],
[PKG_CHECK_MODULES(UDEV, [ libudev >= 143 ], HAVE_UDEV=1, HAVE_UDEV=0)],
HAVE_UDEV=0)
AS_IF([test "x$enable_udev" = "xyes" && test "x$HAVE_UDEV" = "x0"],
[AC_MSG_ERROR([*** UDEV support not found])])
This means that if both OSS & ALSA are disabled, udev check is never run. Then
having udev enabled results in bogus '*** UDEV support not found' message.
Instead, it should probably output something along the lines '*** UDEV support
requires --enable-alsa or --enable-oss-output'.
