Bug ID: 98906
Summary: Seeking in mpv causes other clients to playback faster
Product: PulseAudio
Version: unspecified
Hardware: x86-64 (AMD64)
OS: Linux (All)
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: medium
Component: clients
Assignee: [email protected]

Hi,
The title should be self-explanatory. When an mpv client exist and any other
client (e.g. firefox, cmus or another mpv instance) is playing, seeking in the
mpv client will cause the stream from the other client to be played at roughly
1.5x the speed (until I stop seeking).
I have some custom configuration which is the following (it is relevant because
I cannot reproduce without the config) :
/etc/pulse/daemon.conf
default-sample-channels = 4
default-channel-map = front-left,front-right,rear-left,rear-right
/etc/pulse/default.pa
load-module module-remap-sink sink_name=Speakers remix=no
master=alsa_output.pci-0000_00_1f.3.analog-surround-40 channels=2
master_channel_map=front-left,front-right channel_map=front-left,front-right
load-module module-remap-sink sink_name=Headphones remix=no
master=alsa_output.pci-0000_00_1f.3.analog-surround-40 channels=2
master_channel_map=rear-left,rear-right channel_map=front-left,front-right
All clients are playing on the "Headphones" sink.
Thanks.
