Sorry for the slow reply...

It looks like systemd is having trouble starting pulseaudio, because something
else has already started it (and yet applications have trouble using that other
pulseaudio instance). What do these two commands print?

    pstree -T
    sudo netstat -lxp | grep pulse

Use the "Add an attachment" link rather than copying the text to the comment
field (the pstree output can be quite long, and long pastes make the discussion
more difficult to follow).
