No doubt about that, but it really is a bit cumbersome for me to have to
fetch the patches, roll out a tarball, and then handle the in-Gentoo
part of th ework, which by the way is very likely to require a
buildsystem regeneration.

I know Lennart does not like the idea of doing extra releases, but I
think we could probably share the burden by each doing a different
task...

[And I guess I'm not really "running with the package" ...]
