OK, now the update works, but there is the same SCO error. I have
"bluez-btsco" package installed.

I could be wrong but I think the SCO error is a result of a badly
supported BT adapter. Is it a different model to your other machine?
The guys over on #bluez may know more than me, as I've only dabbled in
the BT area.
