'Twas brillig, and Clemens Eisserer at 17/11/09 11:08 did gyre and gimble:
Is it possible to use ESD as a backend for pulseaudio?
I would like to use my Nokia-N800 as wlan-audio-receiver, but
unfourtunatly it only offers ESD sound (no alsa, no oss).

Sure, just setup your default.pa to use:
http://www.pulseaudio.org/wiki/Modules#module-esound-sink

Rather than the module-alsa-sink or module-udev/hal-detect.
