Hello,
Maybe is should open two tickets for this, but here it goes.
I'm using a Logitech Communigate STX as sound source (46d:8d7),and it
seems like the sample type automatically selected by PA for this device is
too low (you can check a sound test in file "BeforeVolumeMeter.ogg").
Second issue is that when I run the volume meter for this input device,
sound becomes unbearable noisy ("WithVolumeMeterOn.ogg").
I don't file bug reports often, so please let me know.
