My mate has just bought an Airport Express and I was able to play to it
via the raop_play command line tool in about 10 seconds.
It should be relatively trivial to port the raop_play app to a pulse audio
sink module. I think I'm gonna buy an older APE (they are relatively cheap
now) and take a crack at implementing this in pulseaudio.
The server part is another thing altogether (which would allow iTunes
users on windows and mac to play to a pulse server, or general purpose
playing from windows or mac via !AirFoil). But this would still be a huge
boon for PA if it had this support. I'll keep you posted of my progress.
