#280: module-tunnel-sink periodically drops connection with "unsupported command 63" ----------------------------------------------------------------------+----- Reporter: hotdog003 | Owner: lennart Type: defect | Status: new Priority: normal | Milestone: Component: module-tunnel | Severity: normal Keywords: connection, drops, unsupported, command, invalid, packet | ----------------------------------------------------------------------+----- Here's the deal. I have pulseaudio daemons on both machines, and I want to play music through both of them over the network. RTP is extremely laggy on this network, but simply tunneling by selecting a different server works without any problems. The thing is that I want to use module-combine to get it through both computers without RTP. This is good because it means better buffer control than RTP (about 1-2ms offset instead of half a second or so), and less stutter.
So I try this: load-module module-tunnel-sink server=tallyho.local load-module module-combine master=<remote tunnel> slave=0 Then I move my stream to the combined sink. Works beautifully- for about 5 minutes. Then, the remote tunnel sink dies and the audio only plays through the local computer. This happens whether i use the combined sink or even just the remote sink itself. Here's what syslog shows: Apr 20 11:20:25 northbound pulseaudio[6792]: pdispatch.c: Recieved unsupported command 63 Apr 20 11:20:25 northbound pulseaudio[6792]: module-tunnel.c: invalid packet Both machines are running Ubuntu Gutsy, Pulseaudio 0.9.6, over a wireless LAN. -- Ticket URL: <http://pulseaudio.org/ticket/280> PulseAudio <http://pulseaudio.org/> The PulseAudio Sound Server _______________________________________________ pulseaudio-tickets mailing list pulseaudio-tickets@mail.0pointer.de https://tango.0pointer.de/mailman/listinfo/pulseaudio-tickets
