Yes, indeed. If you want hotplug and automagic configuration you lose the
ability to seperately configure devices.
I am trying to get things to work in a way that as many things as possible
are configured automatically, and the few things that require manual
config can be done via a GUI.
Thus implementing what you request is not really on my list. But I will
always consider good patches! ;-)
