Since the other developer that didn't have the problem was running alsa-
lib and alsa-plugins 1.0.18, and pulse 0.9.14, I tried to test against
these versions to see if this was a regression. Using alsa-lib/alsa-
plugins 1.0.18 instead of 1.0.21 makes no difference. I can't get pulse
0.9.14 to build, but every release from 0.9.15 through 0.9.19 has the
problem with either version of the alsa libraries.
