#723: Some mother boards use bus 0 for PCI addon cards thus causing multiple "Internal Audio" cards. --------------------+------------------------------------------------------- Reporter: coling | Owner: lennart Type: defect | Status: new Milestone: 0.9.22 | Component: module-alsa-* Keywords: | --------------------+------------------------------------------------------- This was reported before but I can't remember if this was on IRC, the ML or elsewhere... I think it was IRC so creating this bug to track it. Apologies if it's a dupe.
It seems that some motherboards use bus 0 even for add on PCI cards. We currently use bus 0 to hint to us that the card is built into the mobo and thus name it "Internal Audio" to save confusing the user with complex chipset names etc. This seems to break on some setups. I'll attach some files from an affected user. -- Ticket URL: <http://pulseaudio.org/ticket/723> PulseAudio <http://pulseaudio.org/> The PulseAudio Sound Server _______________________________________________ pulseaudio-tickets mailing list pulseaudio-tickets@mail.0pointer.de https://tango.0pointer.de/mailman/listinfo/pulseaudio-tickets
