#746: Linuxant HSF Modem Driver conflict with Pulseaudio - no sound, no modem

The new pulseaudio system in Ubuntu 9.10 (KK) is incompatible with the
LINUXANT (www.linuxant.com) HSF modem driver. This modem (same hardware)
worked perfectly with the Linuxant driver, Ubuntu 8.10 and the pulseaudio
that came with the Ubuntu Intrepid Ibex release.
Please let me know if you need any debug information. A lot of it is
under this bug report
