#770: RAOP detects AirportExpress only after resetting network --------------------------+------------------------------------------------- Reporter: takkat | Owner: coling Type: enhancement | Status: new Milestone: | Component: module-raop-* Resolution: | Keywords: module-raop-discover network reset --------------------------+-------------------------------------------------
Comment(by coling): I think the two issues (initial detection and subsequant disappearance while playing) are separate. I'd imagine the going away while listening one is actually a crash somewhere (probably in the roap module), so the whole of PA dies, and then is respawned and whatever is needed for initial detection is needed again here. I don't use network-manager but doubt it's directly related. I'm pretty sure that whatever the bug, it's further up the stack. If you can do {{{avahi-browse -t _raop._tcp}}} and get results then the code for detection in PA will get results. If the above command does not work until you reset the network, then this confirms the problem is further up the stack. -- Ticket URL: <http://pulseaudio.org/ticket/770#comment:9> PulseAudio <http://pulseaudio.org/> The PulseAudio Sound Server _______________________________________________ pulseaudio-tickets mailing list pulseaudio-tickets@mail.0pointer.de https://tango.0pointer.de/mailman/listinfo/pulseaudio-tickets
