* status: closed => reopened * resolution: elsewhere => Comment: Guys, perhaps I'm not being clear enough (since you are debating what I am actually arguing for.) I am surprised that I was not clear enough. Alsa isn't fixing this. EVER. Even if they had a good disposition (but they do not!) there would be multiple drivers to fix. The component that requires the least COOPERATION is pulse. Therefore this IS the RIGHT place for this bug. Please understand that you are now installed on many geek's hard-drives. You are not Polypaudio anymore, you are the default sound server in most Linux distros. Please take this responsibility seriously. Please stop thinking about how an ideal world would look like and realize the impact you are having on all Linux users. -- Ticket URL: <http://pulseaudio.org/ticket/896#comment:4> PulseAudio <http://pulseaudio.org/> The PulseAudio Sound Server _______________________________________________ pulseaudio-tickets mailing list pulseaudio-tickets@mail.0pointer.de https://tango.0pointer.de/mailman/listinfo/pulseaudio-tickets
