Just to be thorough, you did save the file with ttf extension in
~/.fonts, right?

where FONTS is the font file you want to install.

> fc-cache

If you do "fc-cache -v" you can also see some more information on what
is going on. I usually just do "fc-cache -fv ./" in my ~/.fonts
directory. If you want to rebuild (or recache?) all fonts, become root
and give the command "fc-cache -fv".

hmm ... I am not sure if you really need to do relogin though. But you
probably need to restart Firefox I think.
