Issue #1351 has been reported by ashp. ---------------------------------------- Bug #1351: Environments http://reductivelabs.com/redmine/issues/show/1351
Author: ashp Status: New Priority: Normal Assigned to: Category: settings Target version: 0.24.4 Complexity: Easy Patch: None Stage: Unreviewed I have a few problems with environments that I believe are bugs. I have recently switched to a bootstrap environment, that then sets the hosts real environment out of a variable under the node entry. This works great with two exceptions: 1/ I set the server's default environment to 'bootstrap'. If I don't specific an environment on a client's puppet.conf, it defaults to 'development', and doesn't let the server use its default environment. I feel this is unexpected, if not wrong - why else have a default if it's ignored? 2/ I had to add environments=development, bootstrap on the CLIENT puppet.conf. This should check environments= on the puppetmaster, not locally - I shouldn't have to update puppet.conf on every host to add a new environment. ---------------------------------------- You have received this notification because you have either subscribed to it, or are involved in it.
