Status changed from Needs design decision to Accepted

I guess I'm fine with this, although I'd really like to see it done
generically, so any package provider could take advantage of it.

portage package type

Currently, one can't use puppet effectively to install updates on GLSA's. There
one wants to ensure that a package has at least some version (the lowest
invulnerable one). IMHO something like require => ">=4.20" should be parsed
correctly.
