Issue #1668 has been updated by jamtur01. Status changed from Unreviewed to Needs design decision Assigned to set to luke Target version set to unplanned
---------------------------------------- Feature #1668: Additional features for the file type http://projects.reductivelabs.com/issues/show/1668 Author: ohookins Status: Needs design decision Priority: Normal Assigned to: luke Category: file Target version: unplanned Complexity: Unknown Affected version: 0.24.5 Keywords: I'd like to see the following features for the file type: 1. Ability to specify that unmanaged files shouldn't be touched, e.g. when doing a recursive copy from a fileserver. This is useful if you want to copy and set permissions on a bunch of files in a directory, but not affect the permissions of other existing files in the directory. 2. Ability to specify that only files or only directories be affected. This may be useful if you want to set permissions on all files in a directory differently to that of the subdirectories. As it is, Puppet mangles the mode parameter to make something that is useful when applied to directories, and this isn't always what is desired. ---------------------------------------- You have received this notification because you have either subscribed to it, or are involved in it.
