My suggestion is create an new attribute or add to 'sourceselect' => optional so if no file is found just exit out, no error. This gives the option of not forcing a file to exist. There are situations where the file could does not have to exist, but in other cases the file should be configured per the source attribute. Use case. I'm creating an openldap module. In my case I don't want to set the ldap.conf file but a possible client wanting to use Puppet wants a specific ldap.conf file pulled from the puppetmaster.
