Issue #2088 has been updated by gringo. File puppet.log added
Same here on CentOS 4.6. See an attached strace if it's of any help here.. In our case it's puppet 0.24.6 which runs with an extra '-l /var/log/puppet/puppetd.log' option. ---------------------------------------- Bug #2088: logrotate on RHEL5.2 http://projects.reductivelabs.com/issues/2088 Author: wbx Status: Needs design decision Priority: Normal Assigned to: lutter Category: Red Hat Target version: unplanned Complexity: Unknown Affected version: 0.24.7 Keywords: logrotate init script error Hi, there is a problem with the puppet init script at least on RedHat 5.2. Logrotate runs weekly and uses /etc/init.d/puppet reload, after this we can not access the puppet daemon via puppetrun anymore. If I change the logrotate configuration file to use /etc/init.d/puppet restart, everything works fine. bye Waldemar -- You have received this notification because you have either subscribed to it, or are involved in it.
