Issue #2406 has been updated by Nigel Kersten.

(Andy is away from computers at the moment)

It's hard to tell, as it's not functionality we currently have...

but I can definitely see the utility here in wanting to ensure packages from a 
given release name.

I don't think I'm in favor of overloading the ensure parameter though, but 
could possibly be convinced.
