Issue #2473 has been updated by Luke Kanies. Status changed from Unreviewed to Rejected
These are pretty different kinds of information, generated from completely different sources. See #2441 for a way to start linking these; the timestamp of data creation isn't a very good one. ---------------------------------------- Feature #2473: report time and yaml/node/HOST.yaml time should be the same http://projects.reductivelabs.com/issues/2473 Author: Dan Bode Status: Rejected Priority: Low Assigned to: Category: Target version: Complexity: Unknown Affected version: 0.24.8 Keywords: I was expecting that the report time would match with the node time. It could be useful at times to have a way of uniquely associating a report with a node.(especially for testing) below is a code example:
node_file = Puppet[:yamldir]+"/node/"+client+".yaml" props = YAML::load_file( node_file ) puts "node and report time did not match: [...@node_time.to_s}] [#{self.time.to_s}]" unless @node_time.eql? self.time
node and report time did not match: [Fri Jul 31 09:24:36 +0200 2009] [Fri Jul 31 09:24:57 +0200 2009] -- You have received this notification because you have either subscribed to it, or are involved in it.
