Actually I totally agree with Nigel (I didn't think anyone agreed with me on this - yay Nigel! :) ). SuSE, RedHat, gentoo, etc all seem to be in tree, but there are no Debian examples. This makes a source install a little more difficult on that platform as I have to furnish my own init scripts.
