Appears that this will do what I expect yes - though I didnt run the code

For QA purposes this is what I see and how to reproduce and test that PR:

With a working 3 this does:

puppet apply -e 'notice("x")' --profile --debug

....

Debug: functions -> notice: 0.000207 ms (1 calls)

With a broken 4 the notice function will not be profiled, with this patch it should.
