Issue #4000 has been reported by Alan Barrett. ---------------------------------------- Bug #4000: Unwanted command line args should give an error http://projects.puppetlabs.com/issues/4000
Author: Alan Barrett Status: Unreviewed Priority: Normal Assigned to: Category: Target version: Affected version: 0.25.5 Keywords: Branch: I accidentally ran <pre> puppetd --onetime --test --no-noop mymodule </pre> instead of <pre> puppetd --onetime --test --no-noop --tags=mymodule </pre> and it happily applied the entire manifest (until I noticed and hit control-C), whereas I wanted to apply only the parts with a specific tag. I think that it should have printed a message about unrecognised command line arguments, and done nothing more. -- You have received this notification because you have either subscribed to it, or are involved in it.
