The released version of the CLI (1.0.1) corresponds to the stable branch (https://github.com/puppetlabs/puppetdb-cli/blob/stable/README.md). The master branch and the status command should be released in the coming weeks! Thanks for using the CLI though and raising the issue, I'll make sure to note the feature has not been released yet in the README.
