Issue #4130 has been reported by Ken Barber. ---------------------------------------- Bug #4130: Suse startup scripts don't allow for environments http://projects.puppetlabs.com/issues/4130
Author: Ken Barber Status: Unreviewed Priority: Normal Assigned to: Category: Doh! Target version: Affected version: 0.25.5 Keywords: suse sles Branch: Hi, The suse startup scripts force the use of --manifests on the command line, which overrides anything in the puppet.conf I believe. This means that you can't use environments. I've got a fix for master branch here: http://github.com/kbarber/puppet/commit/be59d26d3481d482d7e98bcd9354bb9a641eefaa Which pretty much sync's up with the Redhat script behaviour - making the use of --manifest overrides in sysconfig optional. I've tested this change in SLES 11.1. The patch should also be applied to the 0.25.x branch if possible.
