Issue #4068 has been updated by Matt Robinson. Status changed from Accepted to Ready for Testing Keywords set to communitypatch
Thomas posted a patch for this to mailing list. http://groups.google.com/group/puppet-dev/browse_thread/thread/ba9b7b281a8e6c4d/94de927d1df6f5f3?hl=en&lnk=gst&q=4068#94de927d1df6f5f3 Thomas, do you have a github branch you could post to the ticket? Also, I know there's another solution for sysctl (I'll look for the link) that used parsed file and is in use some places. At some point we'll need to decide which approach for this provider is better. ---------------------------------------- Feature #4068: Native Type for linux sysctl interface http://projects.puppetlabs.com/issues/4068 Author: Thomas Hatch Status: Ready for Testing Priority: Low Assignee: Category: Target version: unplanned Affected version: development Keywords: communitypatch Branch: I have run into many deployments that manage sysctl using the file type, a native sysctl type will greatly add to deployment modularity. -- You have received this notification because you have either subscribed to it, or are involved in it.
