Scott Garman commented on PUP-7846   Re: I18N LANG setting not honored when running puppet on redhat 7.3 on power8 I've been comparing the RedHat Power8 and x86_64 hosts and there are no configuration differences that jump out at me. The fact that you can run a command like 'date' with the LANG env variable set and it works on both systems, but not when running puppet makes me thing that we may be doing something differently when building the agent for RHEL 7 on Power8.
