Issue #3960 has been updated by Markus Roberts.

Assignee deleted (Markus Roberts)
Target version changed from 0.25.6 to queued

Rein and I traced this part way, into some known threading issues (it appears
to be a deadlock within activemq) but have as yet been unable to find a
satisfactory resolution.

Bug #3960: Puppetqd not updating tables mysql
http://projects.puppetlabs.com/issues/3960

Author: Joshua Baldock
Status: Accepted
Priority: High
Assignee:
Category: queuing
Target version: queued
Affected version: 0.25.4
Keywords:
Branch:

I have configured puppet 0.25.4 with storeconfigs, queuing with activemq +
puppetqd and mysql.

Apart from this issue #3923 this setup runs fine for a few days. Then however
the mysql tables stop updating. Even though all the puppet functions are
running correctly and clients are being updated. The mysql tables are
reflecting these updates in facter values or last compiled / updated times.

If i restart puppetqd i am able to get the mysql tables updating again, but the
same issue occurs a few hours or days later.

I have tried using puppetqd -v or puppetqd -d, but don't see any logging
information coming from this process.

This bug is causing trouble with our internal puppet webpage which uses the
mysql database to report on clients.

Not sure if this can be linked to issue #3923, or if its something different.
