It would be nice to have it work just like it does for properties because: a) it's useful :) See for example Issue #4976 b) according to the documentation, "Parameters are defined essentially exactly the same as properties; the only difference between them is that parameters never result in methods being called on providers". This phrasing could probably be improved anyway. In this case, I think it strongly implies that required_features is supported on parameters as well as properties.
