Bug #5157: filebucket restore uninitialized constant error
https://projects.puppetlabs.com/issues/5157
Author: Nan Liu
Status: Unreviewed
Priority: Normal
Assignee:
Category:
Target version:
Affected Puppet version: 2.6.2
Keywords: filebucket
Branch:
Similar to #4787, but only affects filebucket restore, not tidy resource. For
puppet 2.6.2 only impacts RHEL 5.4, did not affect Ubuntu systems:
# filebucket restore -l /tmp/foo d41d8cd98f00b204e9800998ecf8427e
/usr/lib/ruby/site_ruby/1.8/puppet/file_bucket/dipper.rb:60:in `restore':
uninitialized constant Puppet::FileBucket::Dipper::Digest (NameError)
from /usr/lib/ruby/site_ruby/1.8/puppet/application/filebucket.rb:46:in
`restore'
from /usr/lib/ruby/site_ruby/1.8/puppet/application/filebucket.rb:18:in
`send'
from /usr/lib/ruby/site_ruby/1.8/puppet/application/filebucket.rb:18:in
`run_command'
from /usr/lib/ruby/site_ruby/1.8/puppet/application.rb:287:in `run'
from /usr/lib/ruby/site_ruby/1.8/puppet/application.rb:393:in
`exit_on_fail'
from /usr/lib/ruby/site_ruby/1.8/puppet/application.rb:287:in `run'
from /usr/bin/filebucket:7
The fix was trivia, added require 'digest/md5' to dipper.rb. I'm not sure why
it's not loaded on RHEL5.
