Issue #5252 has been updated by Markus Roberts.

Target version set to 2.6.3

I'd like to get the fix from the list in 2.6.3 for the pain & confusion it will
save; is there a branch Brice?

Bug #5252: puppetdoc skips resource comments after variables
https://projects.puppetlabs.com/issues/5252

Author: Luke Bigum
Status: Ready for Checkin
Priority: Normal
Assignee:
Category: executables
Target version: 2.6.3
Affected Puppet version:
Keywords: puppetdoc communitypatch
Branch:

I've noticed a bug when using puppetdoc where the first resource after a
variable definition does not get any method description generated, but all
subsequent resources do. Consider this init.pp for a test module with puppetdoc
comments:

    #====Class test
    #
    #This is a test class.
    class test {
      #A variable
      $foo = "bar"

      #first resource
      file { "/tmp/first":
        ensure => present,
      }

      #second resource
      file { "/tmp/second":
        ensure => present,
      }
    }

The comment "first resource" is not put in the HTML for the resource
"/tmp/first" whereas the second comment is. If you remove the variable
definition this works fine.
