Eric Delaney commented on PUP-6639   Re: Yumrepo can't work with files using spaces in their INI format Tested on 5.5.x at SHA=68d2b2e715fa815623200044a67ce31ce3b4d3ef We have this repo file with spaces around the "=" sign and a trailing space after the password string [root@viygf9yfieg5dpt ~]# cat /etc/yum.repos.d/crazy-updates.repo [crazy-updates-that-we-keep] name=localmirror-updates baseurl=http://osmirror.delivery.puppetlabs.net/centos-7-x86_64/RPMS.updates gpgcheck=1 gpgkey=file:///etc/pki/rpm-gpg/RPM-GPG-KEY-CentOS-7 username=crazy_user password = password_with_a_space_after_the_string When we apply add another repo to the file, we process the file properly, while we remove the spaces we properly handled reading them.
