Issue #7043 has been updated by R.I. Pienaar.

Status changed from Unreviewed to Needs Decision

This is fine, its quite a lot of plumbing to get right and we'd probably
abstract the discovery so arbitrary things can hook into it.

To get the current view of the world you can write something with the rpcutil
agent:

<pre>
$ mco rpc rpcutil agent_inventory

   Agents:
&lt;snip&gt;
         {:license=>"Apache v.2",
          :timeout=>2,
          :description=>"Simple Echo Agent",
          :agent=>"echo",
          :url=>"http://www.devco.net/";,
          :version=>"1.0",
          :author=>"Me",
          :name=>"Echo Agent"},
&lt;/snip&gt;
</pre>

Feature #7043: filtering on agent version

(from training)

It would be nice to be able to filter mco commands based on agent revision.
This is so we can have a partially upgraded environment and execute commands
conditionally in this scenario ... also the interface may have changed and this
might be a neat workaround for it.

It would also be useful to see the revisions running out in the wild as well.
